ABOUT ISHA NOTES

Independent book summaries for people who want to use what they read.

Isha Notes publishes original reading notes, key ideas, limitations, and practical applications from influential nonfiction and selected literary works.

Our purpose

Books often contain one or two ideas worth carrying into real life, but finding them can take time. Our guides are designed to make the central arguments easier to understand, challenge, and apply. They are a companion to a book—not a replacement for the author’s full work.

How we create summaries

Every guide identifies the original work and its author. We write explanations in our own words, organize the key concepts for clarity, and separate the book’s claims from our editorial framing wherever practical. When a useful idea has meaningful limits, trade-offs, or common misunderstandings, we aim to include them.

What readers can expect: a clear main idea, memorable concepts, practical examples, and an honest discussion of where a book’s framework may not apply.

Accuracy, updates, and context

We review articles when we make a material editorial improvement or find an error. Dates on a page should reflect a meaningful update, not a cosmetic refresh. Summaries of health, mental-health, or trauma-related books are educational and do not provide medical, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice. Readers should use qualified professionals for decisions that require individual expertise.

Independence and attribution

Isha Notes is an independent editorial publication. Book titles and authors are credited to their respective creators. Our summaries are independently written, and references to a book do not imply endorsement by its author, publisher, or rights holders.
